HTC One Max specs alledgedly leak ahead of launch

More details about the HTC One Max have emerged.
Nowhereelse.fr editor Steve Hemmerstoffertweeted an image containing the specifications of HTC's highly anticipated phablet, providing details which fall in line with previous reports. HTC is expected to unveil the device on Oct. 15 at an event in Asia.
The One Max will have a 5.9-inch display with a resolution of 1920 by 1080, a 1.7 gigahertz Qualcomm processor, 2 gigabytes of RAM, 16 to 64 GB of storage with a slot for another 32GB micro SD card. It will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and HTC Sense 5.5.
HTC is the latest company to jump into the increasingly popular phablet category of jumbo phones. The One Max is essentially a super-sized version of its critically acclaimed aluminum-clad HTC One, although sales of the phone have lagged larger hits like the iPhone 5 or Galaxy S4.
Phablets, meanwhile, haven't done particularly well, with the only legitimate success being theGalaxy Note franchise from Samsung.
CNET contacted HTC for comment, and we'll update the story when the company responds.
